The bear is back in the compost pile. Over the few months that my wildlife camera has been up so far, spring and summer, I could probably have gotten photos of the bear in the compost pile every day and night, since any boxes that I leave there are most always torn to shreds when I return. But even bears can be boring if that's all you see, so I will move the camera around from place to place and find other animals as well.
In nearly ever other place that I have mounted the camera, however, the bear has nevertheless shown up within a few days, so he gets around the woods of Petra, Maine.
Here he is, starting the compost process in my compost pile, located about a quarter of a mile off of the road, into the forest, on our one hundred acre plot of land in extreme northern Maine that we know of as Petra, Maine.
