The whitetailed deer that was here a few days ago has returned. The camera is in the same place that it has been in for several days now, facing a small clearing fairly deep into the forests of Petra, Maine.
To the right of the screen, if you were to walk a long distance through the woods and through some wet terrain, you would reach a dense cedar swamp. To the left is my compost pile and the area where we usually find the black bear, although that also would be a good walk. Straight ahead would bring you to the seasonal road that leads through Petra, while if you were to walk behind the camera, you would be going deeper into a forest that extends well beyond the forests of Petra, Maine.
