In this short video, you won't see the bear very clearly because the lighting is bad, but if you look in the center of the screen, you'll see the bushes move, as well as the rope on the far side of the compost area, as the bear approaches, but does not yet enter the compost area. </p></div> Fri, 12 Aug 2011 22:48:55 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-195025.html maineblackbearvideowildlifephotographymaine black bearwildlife photographypetra maine 07/10/11 19:41:36: http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194136.html <div class="article-summary"><p>In this brief video, you'll see the black bear deftly lift the remains of our chicken dinner from one of the boxes that I had neatly stacked in my compost area, and walk off with it. </p></div> Fri, 12 Aug 2011 22:48:55 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194136.html blackbearmainevideomaine black bearblack bearblack bear videowildlifewildlife photographypetra maine 07/10/11 19:41:09 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194109.html <div class="article-summary"><p>All that can be seen in this brief clip is a moth flying by, but the bear is nearby, probably in the bushes. </p></div> Fri, 12 Aug 2011 22:48:55 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194109.html maineblackbearmaine black bearvideowildlifecamerablack bear videopetra maine 07/10/11 19:40:27 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194027.html <div class="article-summary"><p>I believe that this is the same Maine black bear that seems to be following my camera around the woods. As you can see, I had neatly stacked some boxes of compostable materials on the right side of my roped-in compost area. For those who have not been viewing these photographs and video in order, the compost pile is about a quarter of a mile into the woods from a seasonal road in Petra, Maine. It's not near anyone's house, and the only things deposited here are compostable materials, which often includes food scraps, which attract the black bear. </p></div> Fri, 12 Aug 2011 22:48:55 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-194027.html maineblackbearmaine black bearfilmvideovideoswildlifecameraprimostruth camtruth cam 35compost pilepetra maine 07/10/11 02:00:12 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-020012.html <div class="article-summary"><p>I can't tell what this is, but there is a shining eye in the dark, indicating some sort of creature lurking about at two o'clock in the morning. You can't tell by this night picture, but the camera has been moved back to the compost pile, so it's likely something after a late-night snack. </p></div> Fri, 12 Aug 2011 22:48:55 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/071011-videos/071011-020012.html mainewildlifewildlife cameraeye in darkshining eyenight creaturecreater in darkcompost pilepetra mainenight filmnight videowildlife videovideo
