On this day - July 17, 2011 - we have a series of photographs of a Maine black bear, except that I don't think they are all the same black bear. I believe that what we're seeing in these photographs is a second bear arriving only moments after a first bear leaves. The second bear sniffs at the marking tree and then follows in the tracks of the first bear.
