This is a rather nice photograph of a bird in flight over one of the fields of Petra, Maine. On the far side of the field, beyond the tree line, is a brook that winds around to pass along the back side of the field, shown here on the right side of the screen. The buffer zone between the cultivated field and the treeline consists of swamp grasses and has remained wet all spring and summer. I can see that either deer or moose bed down in the grass there, which was one of the reasons that I decided to set the camera up here for awhile.
