Before passing out of the range of the wildlife camera, the bull moose takes a look toward a turn in the road that passes by this field in Petra, Maine.

These five photographs, taken by a wildlife camera attached to a tree, capture the images of a bull moose passing by, headed toward a seasonal road that runs through the one hundred acre tract of land in Maine's Aroostook County. The moose would be visible from the road, but it is unlikely that anyone would be there at this time of night.

The bull moose doesn't delay in front of the camera long. The Primos Truth Cam 35 wildlife camera is set to take a series of five photographs in rapid succession after being alerted to the presence of an animal by a combination of movement and body heat. Only five photos of this moose were captured, so he doesn't remain in camera range long.

In this photo, a bull moose crosses the back part of one of the fields in Petra, Maine. This is a larger moose than any we have seen on camera before, except perhaps for the one that passed in front of the camera when it was set up in the cedar swamp. This moose has antlers, which we haven't seen on any of the other moose that have shown up here, however. Moose lose their antlers each spring, but quickly regrow them during the summer.
